Go4Balance's 8 Golden Tips for a More Balanced Life
#1: Make health your priority
You will have heard this time and time again, but it still doesn’t get through. But we do get the message when our health is affected. Only then do we pay more attention to our physical, emotional, mental and energetic well-being. Your health has a huge impact on your quality of life and career. You are more productive and happier when you sleep well, opt for times of relaxation, return to nature and hold on to positive relationships.
#2: Reduce toxins – toxic products and toxic relationships
It is not just chemicals from the food we eat that can be toxic but also the negative influences that surround you. Be aware of the impact of ‘toxic’ personalities (complainers, whiners, pessimists, and people with a negative attitude towards others). Toxic information is also constantly feeding your brain (news on TV and in the papers, social media). Try to find balance in how much negative influences you come into contact with. Surround yourself whenever possible with positive, supportive people who enjoy life and have respect for others and their environment. Optimistic, inspiring people are a gift to the soul and help you to do what is best for you.
#3: Take more time for me-time
It is so important to find balance in social activities with family, friends and colleagues and time purely for yourself. Time alone recharges your batteries. Me-time helps to reduce stress, increase happiness and stimulate your creativity. A few things to try are meditation, writing and yoga. Or just spend a few minutes each day in silence, doing nothing. By putting time aside for these short moments you will strengthen your emotional and mental health; you learn more about yourself and your inner needs.
#4: Love yourself
We are often flooded by countless stimuli that are typical of our complex society. It is important that you are not washed away by this tide of continuous distractions. When the flow of your life breaks its banks it becomes impossible to achieve balance.
You can’t say yes all the time. Don’t be afraid to say no to whatever is not essential or does not bring value to your life. This is self-love.
#5: Expand your consciousness
Spiritual sustenance is just as important as nutritional sustenance. Follow a meditation course, start something creative like painting, pottery, flower arranging... Or try something new that you always wanted to learn. Read a book that interests you or listen to relaxing music.
#6: Spoil yourself
Book a pedicure, facial or massage. Have lunch with a close friend. It doesn’t have to be expensive – a glass of wine, your favourite coffee or tea, a beautifully scented candle or a bunch of colourful flowers can brighten your day. This is self-care.
#7: Connect with nature and the elements
Go for a walk and be aware of what is going on around you. Take a new route. Perhaps a trip to the sea to enjoy the foaming waves, or watch the sunrise or sunset. If you don’t have a garden take regular walks to a park or the woods and simply enjoy this contact with nature. The outdoors – the natural outdoors – has a healing effect on the brain and body, helping us to let go of our stress and anxieties. After an hour in the countryside, your batteries will nearly always be recharged.
#8: Open your mind to spirituality
Are you looking for truth? Do you want to find your own way and be more alert to life? Spirituality can help. It brings clarity when you look inside yourself. It is a way of seeing events and experiences that meet you on your life-path as lessons that help you to grow. Spirituality is a valuable key for increased awareness and living according to your heart.
I wish you all an inspiring day.
Never forget how beautiful you are! 💚
Lots of love,
